Because I have sensitive skin, that’s what I’ve been doing most of my life: shaving every third day, sometimes every fourth day. Anything less has always caused razor burn and bumps, regardless of the shaving cream or the razor. (I’ve been using Aveeno for Sensitive Skin for several years now – that switch was a definite plus. Anytime I use anything different, the shaving suffers.)

But with Schick’s new Titanium razors, I can shave *every* day and not cause razor burn or bumps. When my parents see me clean shaven every time they visit me, or I visit them, they (especially my Mom) will be extremely happy. Never mind that I’m 40…you know how parents are.

One reviewer has said that the four blades cause more nicks. I haven’t found that to be the case. I’ve yet to nick myself once, although having said that, I’ll probably nick myself when I shave today. Knock on wood.

Finally, the blades last for a very long time; much longer than any blade I’ve ever used. Although they’re very expensive now, I think they’re well worth the extra expenditure. I can shave more often, and the blades last longer than the blades I used when I shaved every third day.

This is definitely a win-win.

I am happy to report after 10 shaves with the same blade that I’m getting a close, “teenaged” face look and absolutely no irritation. The titanium metallurgy probably does not rust and dull like the Fusion. Even at full price these blades are cheaper than the competition. These blades have 3 thin “high AWG” retaining wires running perpendicular to the blades holding them in place. This prevents irritation, but in the worst case may require a few more strokes to get a shave that will allow you to move your hand in any direction on your face and not feel a trace of hair.

The only slight issue is the blades do get hairs and debris in them that won’t come out with rinsing, but a touch with a toothbrush makes them look and perform like new. This is important to optimize performance. This razor gives you a shave similar to a high priced electric, with no irritation and maybe even a bit closer.

Again, Fusion isn’t a bad product, but I feel these are more compatible with my skin. YMMV, but I doubt you will be disappointed.

I havent tried the 5 blade gillette yet, but i’ve been so delighted with the titanium blades that i havent even been tempted to try anything else. Very close shaves, comfortable, looks great, and lasts forever. (one thing about the gillettes that a friend of mine mentioned is that the blades dont last nearly as long as the quattro’s blades).

Very important that it’s sold and shipped by Amazon. NOT sold by “So & So” and “Fulfilled” by Amazon – not good. Unfortunately these 3rd party sellers are selling fake blades – the ones everybody’s complaining about – the same ones you’ll find all over e-bay.

I’m ashamed to say I’ve been using the fake (knock-off, counterfeit) blades for a couple of years. I had a hunch that either something was wrong or Gillette wasn’t consistent with their product. Because some blades were better than others, some just didn’t feel right from the start, and none of them lasted all that long. So this time around when I went looking to purchase new shaving materials I heard all this talk about phony blades and it all made sense. Those bums definitely made a fool out of me with their slick packaging, because they certainly “look” like real authentic Gillette replacement blades but they aren’t.

And now that I’ve once again shaved my head with a REAL Gillette Mach 3 Turbo blade purchased from a reputable retailer (Amazon) I now realize what I have been missing – a smooth, close, effortless shave which doesn’t tear me up. And to my surprise the lubricating feature on the Turbo actually works! A great product.

One more word of advice – keep your eye on the price of this item as it fluctuates often! Keep it in your shopping cart and buy when the price drops. I paid $1.83 per blade. Great deal.

Blades were rough and hurts the skin. I have been using Gillete for yrs

(purchased from store) and never had such bad experience. Even blades are

not clean as original ones and very close look can find other minor differences while comparing it to original.

I checked various things as suggested in another review and one of those clearly proved its fake. I tried to abuse blue plastic strip just under the blades, they were many micro-aligned plastic lines, and this lines tried to align back, but they left marks on abused spots.
